Hotel bills can add up quickly on longer trips, and this South Austin location is a fun, affordable alternative. We’ve had many guests comment on how spacious it is. The 600 sq ft fully furnished suite is on the lower level of a 1950’s home. There is a queen-sized bed, sitting area with sofa, kitchen, bathroom, and patio overlooking a large yard shaded with beautiful big oak trees.This is a quiet, secluded setting, where the Texas sun filters through the branches of wonderful old live oaks, yet it is just a short way to all the activity of South Congress, Sixth Street, and the downtown area. Enjoy everything Austin has to offer with a visit here! Also close and convenient access to the airport.Please let us know if you have any questions about the layout, and keep in mind that there are three people living in the house upstairs. The studio sleeping area is below the upstairs kitchen and noise does come through the floors from activity overhead, walking around, talking, chairs moving. Someone may be hungry and fixing a sandwich or a pizza at 2 or 3 in the morning. For guests who are sensitive to noise or light sleepers, this might something to consider when deciding whether to stay here. Also, there is an interior stairway from the studio going up to a shared laundry room. The stairway is behind the wall seen in the photos at the end of the room, however there is not a separate door closing off the studio from this stairway. There is one thermostat for the AC in the house and the lower studio, and if any adjustments are needed to the temperature we will change the setting for visitors in the studio.
