Likewise, there is plenty of interesting people-watching from our strategic viewpoint, too!Most desired destinations are within easy walking or biking distance, so you can park the car for the duration of your stay! The Newport Pier area, including the historic Dory Fisherman’s Fleet, Seaside Donuts, Charlie’s Chili and much, much more, is a lovely 10-minute stroll along the boardwalk at most. A couple of miles beyond that is the Balboa Pier, with even more possibilities, including the historic Pavilion, Catalina Island Flyer, Balboa Island Auto Ferry, The Fun Zone, and a trip to Ruby’s Diner at the end of the pier for great burgers and shakes.
