Please note that the nearest gas station is 20 minutes away (don’t worry–the nearest winery is only 5 minutes away).Unlike other rentals in the area, the site is truly in the wilderness and shared with wildlife. Because of the location, animals frequent the grounds, including but not limited to hawks, frogs/toads, hummingbirds, lizards, wood-peckers, field-mice, snakes (black, hognose, copperheads, rattlers, and more), buzzards, possums, deer, bats, spiders, bugs and other insects including millipedes, moths and monarch butterflies, and the occasional bear or bobcat. Please note that, sometimes, animals may make their way into the house. This is usually due to doors and screens being left open.
