SUMMERTIME SPECIAL – with rates that shout ALOHA!TMK #390200010155Hawai’i Tax ID #205-260-2880-01Looking for a tropical getaway where you feel at home, is steps away from one of the greatest beaches anywhere, and won’t bust your budget? You’ve come to the right web-page!Summer in North America can be hot, but on Maui, the ocean and breezes can give you a relaxing, affordable getaway you need! Our one-bedroom condo on the beautiful grounds of Kihei Akahi is an ideal place to do that: your own pied-à-terre — a home base for exploring the beautiful Valley Isle, or just hang out and hit the beach whenever you want!DO YOU WORK BY REMOTE AND NEED TO “KEEP UP”, BUT WITH A CHANGE OF SCENERY? We know that one well! We provide high-speed internet. and have found the dining table is more than adequate for setting up a laptop, notes and whatever else you need. (And because Maui time is up to six hours behind Eastern time, you can finish your workday and be on the beach before noon!)Take advantage of the unique flexibility of having your own “digs”. Check out some of the many diverse eateries Maui has to offer, covering pretty much every taste and style, from creative food trucks, to fast-food chains, right up to the elegant Cafe O’Lei and the uber-pricey (but SO worth it!) experience that is Mama’s Fish House.Better yet, it’s priced where a family can afford it — currently, more than 40% below that of the average hotel room (according to figures from the Hawai’i Tourism Authority). (Plus, you get a discount if you book for a week or more!)Now, a reality check: Maui is still recovering from the devastating fires that practically wiped out Old Town Lahaina. Much of the economy of the Valley Isle is based on tourism, so by coming to Maui, you’re helping in that recovery. (For the record, shortly after the fire, we were able to offer it as temporary accommodations for a couple who lost their home in the disaster. They’ve now found a longer-term home. See our note below on important ways you can help.)Make our condo your home base for exploring places like the magnificent ‘Iao Valley, Up-Country, the ranchland at Makawao, prime surfing spots like Jaws and Pa’ia. Travel the spectacular Hana Highway (pro tip: take a charter bus trip, so that someone who knows the way does the driving!), and reach new heights at the mystical Haleakala — the dormant volcano rising up literally from Kihei’s back yard. We’re across the street from one of the greatest and most family-friendly beaches anywhere — Kama’ole 2 (there are three beaches in the Kama’ole group, separated by lava reefs). You might even see a whale, frolicking in the waves (as much as whales “frolic”), like this baby humpback: https://youtu.be/tsv88hblwFU.Check out our video — https://youtu.be/mbjVF5fAPBU.Our fully furnished, one-bedroom (sleeps 4) condo is furnished in a tropical theme, with works by local Maui artists. You’ll find a king-size bed in the bedroom, queen-size sofa-bed in the living room, deluxe kitchen and 1 bathroom, with BBQ, two pools and tennis (and pickleball!) courts on the grounds. We have views of the ocean, mountains and garden, free wi-fi, tennis courts and two pools with BBQs.How would you like to have a turtle swim just a few feet away from you? It’s something you never get tired of – whether it’s the first time or the hundredth time! Kama’ole Beach could be called “Turtle Alley”, as these gentle giants cruise by often, in each direction! It’s an everyday occurrence here, and the perfect relief from the cares you might have back home! Or stick your head under the water and listen to the whales singing — you don’t have to listen too hard, either!Love snorkeling? The reefs at Kama’ole and further south in Makena — not to mention Molokini crater — are a snorkelers’ paradise! Spend time with the turtles, hover over colorful, exotic fish, and maybe even track an octopus! (Just stay away from the reefs and the sea urchins!)Convinced yet? Check out our reviews (and please note: we don’t *ask* for 5-star ratings!).Whatever your Hawai’ian adventure, our place can be your place to come home to.* Newly renovated* Tastefully furnished with island living in mind* King size bed in bedroom* Queen size hide-a-bed sofa in living room* Free wi-fi* Towels and chairs for the beach* Washer and dryer in the unit* Easy access to all parts of the island* Two pools and tennis courts* BBQsNOTE: for full disclosure, there are cameras at the two pools; however, these are to ensure people are abiding by the house rules and the video is not recorded. And you don’t need to take our word for it: check out the references from our guests — many of whom keep coming back — who consistently give our condo high ratings! We’re looking forward to sharing our place with you.But it’s also VERY popular! People — many of whom are returning guests — book our place months — sometimes over a year — in advance. So choice dates won’t last long!ALOHA!* There is always a need for relief help, and an organization close to our hearts is “A Cup of Cold Water”, run by the Episcopal (Anglican) Church on Maui — and friends. This is an outreach “Care Van” ministry, which travels around the Island, delivering food, water, clothing and other essentials to unhoused people. As you can imagine, their need has become more acute since the fire. Drew recently rode along with one of the trips into the West Maui area, and if you would like to contribute financially, visit www.accwmaui.org.There is also Lahaina Strong, where you can donate to help the recovery work. https://wearelahainastrong.org/Keywords: apartment, flat, condominium, New Year’s, beach, winter getaway, Hawai’i, Australia, New Zealand, summer heat, fall getaway, Thanksgiving, summer holiday.
