Charming ocean front cottage with wrap-around deck. Wake-up to sunrise and coffee on the deck while the seals, ducks, eagles and cormorants enjoy the morning calm. Read a book on the deck while the lobstermen pull their traps, the fishermen catch the striped bass and the sailors glide past. Bring your fishing pole!Stay local and visit gift shops, restaurants, the Giant Steps, hiking areas and sandy Cedar Beach. Rent a kayak and explore the Merriconeag Sound, take a sailing excursion. After dinner, walk 1 minute up the road to watch the sunset on the other side of the island.Dogs are allowed at Sunrise Cottage but there is an accompanying “pet fee” of $60 per night per pet.We recommend a car for your stay here on Bailey Island; we are 25 minutes from Brunswick’s shopping and dining.If you will be flying to Maine, we recommend Portland International Jetport (PWM).
