Description
Unpack your bags, and start relaxing in our Lakefront home! Regardless of which time of year you visit Oneida Lake, activities abound. Each season is uniquely different at the Lake, with incredible sunsets and things to do all year-round. We’re confident you’ll find all the creature comforts you could ever need in this dog-friendly home. Oneida Lake is also home to many majestic bald eagles, ospreys, and blue herons. The Lake is also known for fishing for perch, bass, and pike.Our Lakefront home has a family room with a brand new gas fireplace and a smart HDTV. The family room has brand new air conditioning and flooring, and the downstairs bedrooms have new carpeting. Our enclosed porch overlooks the Lake, and has been updated with brand new windows and shades. It’s a great place to sip your favorite beverage and watch the wildlife and Lake activities. The three bedrooms can sleep up to a max of eight people. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a queen bed and overlooks the Lake. The other also has a queen bed with an HDTV. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed, and full-size pullout futon. Upstairs also has a new air conditioning/heating unit, and a smart HDTV. There is a fully equipped gourmet kitchen for all your culinary and baking needs, as well as a full-size refrigerator. Both bathrooms are newly remodeled and include tile and new fixtures. The downstairs bathroom has a shower, and the upstairs is a half-bath. Linens, bath/beach towels, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, dishwasher, games, and books are provided all year round. Seasonally, we provide a gas grill, picnic table, dock, water toys, fire pit, and camp chairs. Our secondary cottage contains a game room with Foosball and Darts, as well as the clothes dryer. Free wifi, dvd player, 3 hd tvs, and a STUNNING view are all included in this beautiful home away from home on Oneida Lake.The Eastern Shore of Oneida Lake is extremely shallow and sandy, and is great for kids and adults of all ages. In the summer months, we provide a dock for easy access to the Lake. Imagine your toes in the sand. The 4th of July is one of the best weeks of the year here, as there are fireworks all around the Lake during the week. They can be seen while sitting on the porch and relaxing. Fall leaf peeping is fantastic as you see all the vibrant colors around the Lake. In the winter, the Lake freezes over for skating, skiing, snowmobiling, or ice fishing. Our home is next to the walking, biking, skiing, and snowmobiling trails of Verona Beach State Park and Oneida County. Verona Beach State Park also offers a nice dog-walking trail by the Lake, as well as playgrounds, a splash pad for kiddies, charcoal grills for a picnic, and a sandy beach.Pack a picnic lunch, and go hiking, skiing, or snowmobiling through the trails of Verona Beach State Park or enjoy their sandy beach in the summer months. Visit the historic Verona Beach Lighthouse. Take a step back in time in Historic Sylvan Beach, and become a kid again at the Century-Old Amusement Park and Carousel, now with rides from Coney Island. Try your luck or see a show at Turning Stone Casino, or bet on the horses at Vernon Downs Harness Track. Experience trendy shopping and dining at Destiny USA shopping mall in Syracuse. Some other favorite area activities include fishing and boating charters, whether on Oneida Lake or a short ride to the Salmon River in Pulaski for salmon fishing. Boat rentals are also available at nearby marinas. Is Antiquing more your style? We are a short distance to the Madison-Bouckville Antique Fest held in June and August. Kids and adults alike will love exploring the Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo, Rosamond Gifford Zoo, Utica Zoo, or The Wild Animal Park. The sports enthusiast will enjoy the history of the Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota with inductions in June. Take a scenic drive to Chittenango Falls and hike the trail. Discover many historical sites like Fort Stanwix or the Oriskany Battlefield. The Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse is a short drive and boasts artifacts from the original canal. If golf is your thing, there are many public courses within minutes, including a PGA course at Turning Stone Casino. To explore a little further, we’re within 2 hours from the Adirondack Mountains for hiking, the Thousand Islands to tour beautiful Boldt Castle and historic Antique Boat Museum, and the Finger Lakes to savor many of our great NY State wineries, breweries, cheese trails, and distilleries.
