Comfortable living in a wooded setting – feels far away, yet you are still close to it all. We have a kayak, 2 camp chairs and a cooler in the shed that can be used during your stay.The Forest Lakes area is 8 miles North of Bayfield, and 8 miles South of Lake Vallecito Recreation Area. Forest Lakes also has a playground and neighborhood lake for fishing – Lake Simpatico – with a walking trail around the lake. This home is appx 20 miles from downtown Durango and 50 miles from Pagosa Springs. There is plenty of dining, unique shops, and outdoor recreation in the surrounding area – including hiking, boating, skiing, fishing, snowmobiling, biking, hunting, hot springs, rafting and more.Bed Configuration:King Bed on Upper Level LoftQueen Bed on Main Level with TVQueen Air Bed with PumpThis cozy cabin has modern updates. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, full bathroom on main level and in loft, washer/dryer, and comfortable living area. The private deck is inviting in a treed setting. The yard has horseshoes and cornhole, as well as a hammock for ultimate relaxation.The living room TV is streaming only, so you can log-in to watch your streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. The TV in the queen bedroom is hooked up to a DVD player only and has a selection of movies – it is not a smart TV and does not have cable.During the winter months (Thanksgiving to March) access to the home requires 4WD or AWD.NOTE: This A-Frame cabin is on the same property as our smaller Adventure Basecamp rental cabin. Each cabin has a private deck without view of the other, but they are in close proximity. There is cell service and wifi at the cabin, but you will not have cell service on the road leading up to the cabin from the highway. There is a ring camera at the front entrance area.Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date.
