The Best of ‘The Palms’ – Panoramic Views, Private End Unit #1102Welcome to paradise. A private, two bedroom, non-smoking condo at the Palms at Wailea with sweeping ocean views from Molokini to West Maui. It is not only one of the best views at The Palms complex, but also in Wailea. The unit is located a leisurely 10-minute stroll from exclusive Keawakapu Beach (the ‘Malibu of Maui’) and The Shops At Wailea. It features ocean views from all rooms, with a large private lanai for discrete sunning, dining and relaxing.Our unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen remodeled in 2016 and approximately 1,200 square feet of interior space. The living room has an attached dining room and a large 300 square foot lanai with a fabulous panoramic ocean view. The kitchen has pass-through windows opening to the dining area on the lanai. The master suite has a queen bed, private tiled shower and an ocean view from bed. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and a separate bathroom with shower, accessible via short hallway. This guest bathroom was completely renovated in 2019, with custom tilework and all new fixtures, lighting and vanity. The wall to this bedroom can be retracted to open it into the living area for additional space and ocean views. Only the master bedroom has air conditioning [brand new replacement unit in 2019], but there are ceiling fans in every room, and ample floor fans to keep things comfortable.This unit is our private retreat from the mainland. We bought it in 2013 and have been updating it to suit us and our guests. We have new furnishings in the living room – queen sleeper sofa and side chairs – 2021; and a dining room table and six chairs. In 2016 we added UV blocking solar blinds and replaced all of the carpeting with new tile floors. The main bathroom shower/tub was replaced with a new walk-in tiled shower featuring a turtle motif in honor of Maui’s many honu. In summer 2016, we completely renovated the kitchen. New mattresses were added in April 2019, and new lanai dining set, for six, was added in 2019.Unlike other units, ours has never been in a rental pool, there is no road noise, and there are no obstructed views. This unit is great for honeymooners or those seeking a memorable island getaway. If you leave the windows open at night, you can hear ocean waves crashing on the shore.Feel free to leave the solar blinds and windows open day and night to enjoy remarkable privacy and the natural sights, sounds and fresh island breezes. Bring your laptop for a wireless internet connection in any room. Awake in bed to the light of a Maui morning and possibly spot a whale breaching on the horizon during whale season. Toast the end of a perfect day with a panoramic Maui sunset from your private table on the lanai. This is a unit that would be classified as a superior-deluxe, ocean view unit at any major resort.The unit is meticulously maintained to a high level of detail, cleanliness and ambience. Welcome to The Palms. Your escape to paradise!
