Enjoy the warmth of the rocks as you lounge by the water and listen to the wind as Mother Nature intended. Listen to the seals play and watch them as they bask in the sun at low tide (did you know the seals snort?) Explore the tide pools, where muscles, lobster, starfish and crabs like to lounge. Rock in the hammock and let the day pass by with a good book and feel the ocean breeze. Fire orange sunsets, with camp fires, lobster bakes, and a toasted marshmallows to follow, is the perfect way to end a summer day at this adventurous cottage. Down by the shore is the perfect spot to launch a kayak- paddle out and explore the islands and the shore line of the Bagaduce River. Take a trip upstream to the reversing falls and eat at the Bagaduce Lunch. Paddle to the historic water front of Castine.Our cabin was built in 2013 for comfort and family relaxation. We have named it “The Captain’s Cottage” in honor of our son whom attended the Maine Maritime Academy. The cottage has a quaint New England feel. Come escape the noise and bustle of the city and feel time slow down on the shore. Enjoy every second of the beautiful landscape and the comfort of this home.Historic Castine only 5.7 miles away! Blue Hill 11.6 miles or visit Acadia National Park which is under one hour away.
