Bring your little ones, too: we have all the dining and entertaining amenities small children will need.Relax with plenty of privacy, with 6 sleeping rooms–and a separate enclosed porch –when you need to get away for a few minutes.You will love the easy-to-use features—such as the open kitchen shelving and the glass hutch—everything you need will be easy to find, with no searching through cupboards! The bedrooms are named, so they are easy to identify.Rest easy at the end of your daily adventures in luxurious bedding with 300-count sateen sheets, contemporary duvet covers and, of course, two pillows per person. All bedrooms have closets, dressers and fun light fixtures. A few have chairs or workspaces.The home automation will make your stay a breeze—punch in your personal access code whenever you arrive—stream movies on smart-tv, and rest easy as the smart thermostat turns up when you’re home. Even the wifi password is easy to type with your thumbs.Guest Access:Make yourself at home on the wrap-around veranda and enjoy al fresco dining, or just watch the sun glint off the trees. Or feel the call of our quarter acre grassy field: whether enjoying a game of bocce, pushing the kids on the swings or sitting by the fire-pit, you’ll appreciate the connection to nature right outside your door.You can bask in the easy access to the best of mountain life with this in-town farmhouse– you’ll only be a 5-minute walk from a quintessential New England corner-store, artisanal coffee shop, historic theater (with some great live show and movies) and a range of dining options from semi-upscale to pizza and tacos.Drink in the views of Mt. Washington as you stroll down the highest main street east of the Rockies, enjoying the Victorian architecture of this popular historic destination. Today you can enjoy the two in-town golf courses, snowmobile trails, or easy to moderate walking trails—all without having to get in your car! The village has some great family-friendly recreation facilities—take the kids to the pool, get in a pick-up basketball game, or trade some volleys on the tennis court. There’s also ice-skating in the winter, and even a skate-park that would make even the most sullen teenager smile.The Neighborhood:If you are looking to vacation in the White Mountains, you already know about the great skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, cycling, fishing and fresh mountain air. We have easy access to all of that—and Route I-93, to boot.We’ll provide a guide to some of our favorite activities in the region. If you have a hankering for a little more civilization, we have a list of recommendations in the revitalized former mill-town of Littleton. From dining at a hip-brew pub, to shopping for mountaineering (or fashion) accessories, or visiting the world’s longest candy counter—the town makes a great excursion. And you have easy access to supermarkets, pharmacies & big-box stores for restocking on provisions.Getting Around:While you can access an awesome number of vacation amenities on foot once you’re here, you’ll probably need a car to get here… and out to some of the other great attractions within 30 minutes.Other Things to Note:-The “Washington” Bedroom can be made up as two twins or a king. Unless you request otherwise, you’ll get it as a king. (But don’t worry if you forget– the twin beddings will still be there for you!)-There is a carriage house is behind main house- you may very well still have the grounds to yourself, or you could have a neighbor for the week. There are separate parking areas, and zones of the yard too, so you can be as social, or as private, as you like.-Speaking of neighbors, we have some strict policies regarding disturbing our year-round neighbors. If you think that will be a problem for your group… well, it’ll probably be a problem.-New Hampshire Meals & Rental Tax License #062540-Smoke Fine of up to $500 to clean and launder this 6 bedroom house.-The house does not have Air Conditioning, but does have ceiling fans in the common space and bedrooms (plus supplemental box fans). The mountain climate is not often warm enough to need these.-Thermostat maximum is 72 degrees. A wood stove and space-heaters are provided for supplemental heat.Interaction with Guests:You will be sent an access code for the keypad lock.We manage this property remotely, so you likely won’t be running into us up there (unless we’re visiting the other unit). We’re available through the app, and we have local staff to support any emergencies.
