Come relax and enjoy the mountains! Tucked away behind Pikes Peak, Florissant is a certified dark sky location and perfect for some stargazing. A winter wonderland & a summer paradise all in one!! Enjoy the mountains in your own cozy cabin with plenty of space to wander. The cabin is perfect for family, friends, or for a romantic weekend getaway. Set on almost 2 acres, you have plenty of space to stretch your legs, enjoy the quiet, play fetch with your dog, or enjoy watching the wildlife that regularly wanders through. Relish the tranquility with a glass of wine on the patio or stargaze on a clear night. Or, better yet, do your stargazing while you make a batch of s’mores at the firepit. The cabin doesn’t have AC, but as the nights are very cool at this altitude in the mountains, it’s almost never an issue. However, there are fans in each room to add to your comfort.Enjoy cooking? The kitchen is open & stocked with essential utensils, pots & pans, a crockpot, drip coffeemaker, basic spices, a full-size refrigerator, and more. A limited selection of coffees and teas are provided, along with coffee filters. Plate settings for 7 along with coffee cups and wine glasses too. We also have a highchair for our younger guests.For added fun, check out the game room in the garage! While one bay is reserved for parking, the other bay is perfect for a night or day in – play a game of pool, air hockey, or foosball!After exploring the outdoors or Woodland Park, cuddle up with a blanket next to the fireplace and download your favorite movie, show, games, or music from one of the many apps available on the new HD Smart LED TV (Netflix, Sling, Hulu + many others – Personal subscription is required). There is a separate sitting area perfect for reading one of the several books available or playing one of the many games in the cabin for a fun night in. Bringing your kiddos? They’ll have a good time, too! Our cabin has a selection of kids’ coloring books & crayons, books, and games, or they can check out the “Little Bear Cave”.The cabin will have been thoroughly cleaned due to advanced COVID standards; however, cleaning and sanitizing products are provided for your use and comfort during your stay. The Turkey Roost is rented to guests 25 years of age or older.Want to bring Fido? No problem! We think your dog will like it here, too! We’re responsible pet owners and assume you are too. If your dog ruins it, we’ll expect you to buy it. If you bring your dog, we kindly ask:• Tell us a little about Fido• Please, no dogs allowed on beds or furniture• If you must leave them at the cabin on their own for a bit, you must utilize a crate.• No chewers• Dog mush have all shots up to date and have been treated for fleas• Please don’t let your dog chase or bark at any of the wildlife.
