This adorable little beach rental is located steps to the sand and surf in Mission Beach! Just cross the street and you’re at the beach! This unit includes a garage for parking and is located above the garage so it’s totally detached with no adjoining walls. We supply you with beach towels, beach chairs, and bikes for cruising the boardwalk! Ideally located next to the beach and 6 miles from the airport!The space is quite small and compact. It’s an ideal space for 1-2 people. For guests with infants or toddlers, we can supply you with a pack and play and high chair upon request.Please note, the furnace is non-functional, so during the winter months the unit heated with the space heaters, which adequately warms the property.This unit includes a dedicated single car garage that will fit a compact or midsize vehicle. Please note, some low sports cars or other cars with a low undercarriages may bottom-out and have difficulty parking in the garage due to the mild incline of the entry to the garage. (Out of hundreds of visitors to this unit only a handful have informed us of this problem.) In the case that your car does not fit in the garage you will need to park on the street.You will have access to a BBQ and two patio areas that are shared with the 5 other units of the complex. The other units are vacation rentals so feel free to say hello and make friends with your fellow travelers if you encounter them!You have access to a coin operated washer/dryer that is shared by the 6 units of the complex. (2 quarters per load.) Tenant access time is daily after 2 pm or before 10 am to allow the housekeepers to use them during the turnovers. If you’d rather have your laundry done for you there is a laundromat within walking distance that offers drop-off service at an affordable weight based fee. You can just drop it off in the morning and they will have it ready and neatly folded for you by the end of the day.Want a private bonfire on the beach? We can connect you with a service that offers set up and take down, portable steel fire drum, chairs, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s’mores.Are you into yoga? There is free beach yoga daily just a 5 minute walk from the property. No yoga mats are required. Just bring a beach towel and water and you are all set. (It’s donation based so maybe bring some cash for the instructor. )Want professional pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! We can help arrange for an affordable local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family or group on the beach. Let us know in advance if you’re interested and we can make connect you with the photographer during your stay.The unit is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate.Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (8 miles away), get dropped off here and you’re at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.The location is the best spot of all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach), which means a non district area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it’s very removed from the tourist noise. It is off of the main boulevard with friendly neighbors and a quiet homey atmosphere.Recreational opportunities abound. This beach rental is a few minutes walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available in all of these activities. What’s more there are free yoga classes each day on the beach just two courts north.It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, which are both 1 mile away, making this location removed from the tourist noise but yet accessible to the action if that’s what you want.There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach out front for beginners to the advanced surfer and great for the spectator as well. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily in the beach right out in front by our friends at Surfari Surf School. What’s more, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. And we have two world class board shapers who live on our block in case you want to get a new surf board while you are here.We offer self-check in with a digital keypad to make your arrival as easy as possible.Included with the rental is the use of 2 beach cruiser bikes, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and sand toys for the kids. Plus there is a rental shop just a 3 minute walk away that rents surfboards, wetsuits, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. They have very affordable rates, plus we give you a 15% discount on all the rentals they have to offer after booking with us.Garage parking for compact to standard sized cars. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you’ll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycling or walking. On the bay-side you’ll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you’ll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you’ll call it paradise. We simply call it home!This upstairs apartment is completely detached and over the garage. It gets plenty of light and good air flow with the windows open. Additionally, it is supplied with a window AC unit, which is useful for the hot summer months.The space is 400 square feet. There is a queen size bed. It offers a bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower.The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, blender, and a Keurig coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws.The living room comes complete with a flat screen TV. It is equipped with Roku which includes Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and many other channel options available with your login credentials. We also offer free WIFI with a small desk and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.The vacation rental comes supplied with all the basics you’d expect at any hotel like a hair dryer and iron. Plus you have a kitchen and living room to enjoy. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don’t need to pack those in your suitcase.
