Description
Experience living tiny in this lovingly built small scale space that includes everything you need for a cozy getaway. Return from a day of hiking in Acadia National Park to soak in the clawfoot tub or relax on the tiny deck, with a glimpse of the ocean. This 20ft x 8ft tiny home is situated in a backyard, a short walk from Manset Town Dock and Peter Trout Tavern, and a five-minute drive from Southwest Harbor and parts of Acadia National Park (about 20 min to longer hikes and the loop road). The spaceThis 130sq.ft. house features a furnished kitchen/living room area with a two-burner gas stove for cooking. The sleeping loft with skylight is accessible via ladder. The luxurious (by tiny house scale) bathroom contains an antique clawfoot tub for soaking and on-demand hot water. Outside is a fire pit, and tiny deck. There is also a shared backyard and garden area.Other things to noteStaying in a tiny house is somewhere in between camping and a room in a bed and breakfast. There is regular plumbing, hot water, and a gas stove. But, since the space is tight, some things are out of the ordinary. For this reason, we ask that you THOROUGHLY read and understand the following details.___ The bed is located in a loft, which is accessible ONLY by ladder. Please see pictures and be sure you are comfortable climbing up to the bed.___ There is no bathroom sink. You can use the tub faucet or the kitchen sink in its place.___ The tiny house is located in the backyard of our home. You will have your own space, and we will stay out of your way as much as possible, but we do live on the property and share the driveway.___ We allow adult dogs with prior approval. Absolutely no puppies, sorry. That means dogs 0-12 months are not allowed. (We love them, but we’ve had too many bad experiences)___ We have a friendly 4-year-old Plot Hound named Lou. She’s a gentle sweetheart but may bark before she meets you. She’s usually great with other dogs and would love to meet and play with yours.___ During the spring (before mid-June) and fall (after mid-September) the tiny house can be chilly in the night and early morning. We have plenty of extra blankets and a space heater. An electric heater is located in the bathroom.
