As your tires touch the circular drive, the first thing you will realize as you shut off your ignition is that you are now officially on vacation.Enter the front door and you will immediately be greeted by a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the large and beautifully-furnished living room, framed on each side by arched glass double doors leading to a full-width deck and nothing but views of the lake beyond. Set your coolers down in the large open kitchen, designed for entertaining a group, with no walls to block your view of your family and guests or the water.The kids are already exploring and claiming beds while you head to the other side of the main floor with your bag to take in the master suite where you’ll be reenergized during your stay with a large private bathroom and direct access to a fully screened portion of the deck. You make a quick mental note that you want to have your morning coffee while sitting in that rocking chair, possibly forever.The footsteps interrupting your coffee fantasy from above are sure to be the kids or the rest of your party exploring the two bedrooms upstairs. One with a queen bed and the other with a twin bunk bed and a pull-out trundle. Both with doors and windows to the upper deck and more spectacular lake views. The upstairs bedrooms share a huge, beautifully-renovated full bathroom.Now it’s time for you to explore a little. Making your way downstairs, you are greeted by more views of the lake (it never gets old) from the glass doors in the massive family room. Comfortably furnished with a soft, leather sectional, a fireplace, and a large TV, the downstairs can be treated as its own little haven, with its kitchenette and full bathroom, or it can be the social epicenter of the evenings to come. You briefly rethink your plan to stay on the main floor after looking at the lower level suite with its king bed and private en-suite bathroom. Also downstairs is a large bunk room with three twin beds and a pull-out double futon.For the first time since you entered the front door, you walk out through the downstairs doors onto a cozy, furnished patio with a gently-sloping lawn down to your private dock and Lake Norman. You smell the water and hear little waves lapping at the shore.The home comes with 2 paddle boards for you to use. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own kayaks, boat, or jet skis and keep them at the dock.
