This gorgeous Lake Placid area house rental has everything from a new oversized hot tub to spectacular views of Whiteface Mountain and the surrounding mountain range. Located in Wilmington, this spacious ski lodge is quaint and cozy with enough for larger groups of family and friends. The house features over 4000 sq feet of luxury living and includes three master suites, two stone fireplaces and a location just 3 miles to Whiteface ski area and 12 miles to the Village of Lake Placid and all of the famous Winter Olympic sites including the Miracle on Ice hockey arena, the ski jumps, and the Olympic and World Cup bobsled track at Mount Van Hoevenberg.Designed with larger groups in mind, the house has a Great Room with a wood burning stone fireplace and walls of windows looking out to Whiteface Mountain. The dining area seats 12 and has more spectacular views. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and there is an oversized “boot room” which will accommodate boots, parkas and all your gear until your next trip out to the slopes.There are three master bedrooms with en suite baths – one King and two Queens. The King has a beautiful stone fireplace. One Queen has a Jacuzzi tub, the other has a sitting area with another stunning view to Whiteface. The lower level offers two more bedrooms – one with two twin beds and the other with two sets of bunk beds – and a full bath.There is a large Rec Room with a satellite TV, a game table and various board games. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers.Outside there are large porches, front and back, including a screened rear porch with a gas grill, a picnic table and a sun deck. There is a firepit to enjoy in the evenings.The house sits on a seven acre property adjacent to over 200 acres of Forever Wild land with miles of private trails available for hiking, snow shoeing or cross country skiing. Walk to the West Branch Ausable River or take a short drive to Lake Placid to fish, kayak or canoe.
