Description

Comfortable & family-friendly, this 4 bed/3 bath, well-equipped home offers access to the wonders of the ocean tides with the luxury of a heated pool, sunny deck and cozy indoor spaces to relax and recharge.Originally built in 1900, the Flying Jib was moved to a new foundation and underwent renovations in 1991. It now boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large, comfortable living spaces, and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage is equipped with games, books, and puzzles, internet access, televisions that allow for streaming content as well as viewing of dvd’s.The property allows for direct access to Herrick’s Bay, to the west and what may be the most beautiful walk and views of Blue Hill and Jericho Bays to the east and south. High tide completely covers the rocky shore, and low tide allows for exploration of the wondrous sea creatures that live beneath. Live sand dollars, sea stars, anemones, a myriad of crabs and sea urchins can be observed along sandbars that become walking paths at very low tides that give access to the off-shore islands. We only rent by the week between June-September (Saturday to Saturday). We can be somewhat more flexible in the shoulder season.
