The fenced backyard has an outdoor bar for you sit at and relax while the kids play corn hole. Upon request we would be more than happy to preheat the spa for you before you arrive.The open-concept kitchen is small but features full-sized appliances, plus all the pots, pans and cooking utensils you need to make great meals. If the weather is nice, there’s also a gas grill on the deck. Once your meal is complete, sit back and enjoy it in the dining room with seating for six or on the kitchen bar.At night, unwind with our collection of board games, puzzles and books. You can also watch Disney +, Hulu & ESPN (the cabin has an account) on the Smart TV or relax with music using the Bose Bluetooth speaker. The wood-burning fireplace will keep you cozy all evening long.Guest accessYou’ll have full access to everything in the house with the exception of three storage closets.Other things to noteCOVID-19 AND YOUR SAFETYWe take your health and safety very seriously, so we are doing everything we can to make our cabin as safe as possible. We are following local and state guidelines for best practices, including by building in extra time between guest bookings, and having our housekeepers use hospital-grade disinfectants to clean our home.PARKINGThere is parking for 2 cars on the paved driveway. Please do not park on the street in winter. You could be ticketed or towed for blocking the snow plows.WINTER VISITSYou are required by law to carry snow chains during the winter months. We recommend buying them, having them fitted and then practicing putting them on before you need them. Always check the weather and road conditions before you come up. Weather can change quickly on the mountain. During big storms, the power can occasionally go out. We have two emergency flashlight magnets on the refrigerator.NOISEUp the Creek Cabin is not a party house. Please be respectful of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. Everyone is there to enjoy the peace and quiet. If we receive a valid noise complaint, you may be forced to leave without a refund for your stay.CHECK-INWe have a keyless smartlock on our front door to make check-in/checkout really easy. It also helps give you peace of mind knowing that you won’t have to worry about misplacing a key while you’re out on your adventures.Check-in begins at 4 pm and checkout is by 10 am. I will let you know in advance if you’re able to arrive earlier or stay later based on availability.MAX GUESTSA maximum of 6 guests are allowed including children. If your group exceeds this number, Up the Creek will not work for you. The space is ideal for 4 to 5 adults and 1 to 2 kids. It’s not the type of house to pack in a bunch of people (there is no space for air mattresses). The living room has a pull out sofa queen bed in addition to the beds provided in the bedrooms.SECURITYFor security purposes, we have security cameras on the perimeter of the property. They only record video of the exterior and NOTHING in the interior of the cabin. If you have any concerns about privacy, please contact us before booking.FURNITUREIf you rearrange furniture in the cabin during your stay, we kindly ask that you return it to the original placement before you check out. Thank you for your help with this!PETS ($75 fee)We love animals and respect your tiny furry friends. All we ask is that you respect our space and use the pet friendly blankets provided in the hallway closet. At no point can a pet be left at the cabin unattended.
