Seascape is a quaint three season “Maine camp” like cottage set amidst natural landscaping with wonderful ever-changing views of Somes Sound, the only natural ‘Fjard’ on the East Coast and beautiful Sargent mountain in Hall Quarry. Hall Quarry is located about halfway between Somesville and Southwest Harbor on Mount Desert Island, was once home to a thriving granite quarrying industry. Hall Quarry is a quiet and peaceful village that sits nestled in the hills on Somes Sound, a popular sailing and pleasure boating destination, offering protected deep anchorages and spectacular views all year long.Relax in the most private setting (no neighbors around you to be seen) while you sip your coffee on the spacious deck and enjoy the great views, watch the deer grazing all around you and soak in the relaxing sounds of the motor boats making their way up the Sound. Seascape has 3 very comfortable and tastefully decorated bedrooms and an additional open sleeping loft and finished with two bathrooms. It will comfortably accommodate a total of 4 Adults and 2 Children.It is delicately appointed with new furnishings. This property provides you with everything you need. The beautiful Granite fireplace is a perfect setting for cooler evenings. On the first floor there is a galley kitchen opening up to the cathedral-beamed dining room/living room open floor plan with floor to ceiling double sliding glass doors to the deck and your beautiful view (*ocean, not lake). There is a heat pump for addlt heating and cooling A/C needs. There is a bedroom on the first level with a queen sized bed, as well as a second bedroom with two twin sized new memory foam-gel infused mattresses. There is also a 1st floor bathroom with a tub and shower combination.Travel up the stairs to the open sleeping loft which offers a twin day bed. Finally enter the master bedroom with slanted ceilings boasts a queen sized bed and leads to the en-suite bath with a small shower-stall unit. This bedroom has A/C. There is a washer and dryer on the 1st floor for your convenience.PLEASE NOTE: This is a three season property, “Maine camp” which allows , The TRUE EXPOSED BEAM LOOK. (if you are looking for a “home” with insulated walls, sheet rock and sound proofing, this is not your property, as you will hear your family in the other rooms) Just the way I want my family vacations to be. We find this property most suitable for maximum 4 Adults plus 2 children for optimal privacy, so each couple can at least be on their own floor in such a close set up.Please note: we are dog friendly, however, you must inquire first with breed and size. We have a maximum of two dogs allowed and charge a dog fee of $150 per stay.We are a two miles to some of Acadia National Park’s great hiking and biking trails, as well as great swimming at Echo Lake Beach. We are within 8 miles of downtown Bar Harbor and everything that our beautiful Island has to offer, without having to endure the crowds and noise of staying downtown. Take a careful stroll in front of our cottage, which will lead you to one of our previously worked quarries.
