Sit on the back porch rocking yourself to sleep while listening to the soothing sounds of the babbling brook below you. Cuddle up indoors by the wood burning fireplace and listen to the logs crackling.The spaceYou are walking into a refuge and respite from the hustle and bustle of your busy and overstimulated life. This log cabin will take you back in time when things were simpler and less complicated. You can enjoy the serenity and peacefulness of a mountain retreat without having to drive up steep mountain roads. You can be lulled to sleep or mesmerized by the sounds of the rushing creek or be enveloped in the enchanting variety of lush trees and gardens on the property. You will have access to wi-fi and have a smart TV to access your favorite apps, Netflix and Samsung premier Tv. You have all the amenities of a gourmet style kitchen with everything you could wish for to cook that glorious homecooked meal. Take a stroll through the charming mountain town of Waynesville and enjoy a variety of shops and local arts and craft stores and enjoy one of many restaurants, breweries and coffee shops that is only a 15-20 minute drive from the cabin. Relax and recharge around a 200-acre lake Janaluska. Choose to paddle board, kayak or take a scenic walk around the lake. Bald eagles are often seen soaring across the water, so keep your eyes to the sky. Take a breathtaking ride along the Blue Ridge parkway which is part of the Appalachian mountain range. Haywood county boasts 46 scenic miles of some of the most beautiful parts of the parkway. Another adventure is the Cherokee Indian reservation which is 20-30 minutes from the cabin. Immerse yourself in the Cherokee culture and heritage at the Indian village and the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. If you are feeling lucky, try your hand at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. Travel through river gorges, trestles and tunnels on a scenic ride through the Smokies on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. Take a drive to Asheville and journey back in time to “America’s Largest Home” the Biltmore estate and explore the beautiful grounds, gardens and winery or the fabulous arboretum. Or explore the eclectic historic downtown Ashville with amazing restaurants, breweries, wineries, arts and craft boutiques, and great music venues. The next stop along the way that is a must see is the mountain town of Hedersonville, tour the quaint downtown area with many unique shops and restaurants. Take time to visit the truly wonderful Sierra Nevada Brewery with its indoor and outdoor ambience and excellent food and beer.
