This private waterfront cottage offers much privacy to relax, and plan hiking local trails, nature preserves, and the many coastal wonders of Downeast Maine. A 10 minute drive takes you to Pigeon Hill and Dyer Bay trails (high elevation) , or Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge, a birder’s paradise with a beautiful white sand beach and hiking trails though serene forest to cobble beaches.Want to explore from the oceanside ? Take a 30-minute drive to Winter Harbor and board the “Miss Lizzie” Bar Harbor Ferry for ocean access to Bar Harbor without fighting the traffic – or take the local Winter Harbor Ferry with your bike to BH and enjoy riding through Mt Desert Island..Want a cool road trip ?
