Salem has a thriving downtown with many restaurants, bars and pubs, live music, the Peabody Essex Museum, Derby Wharf, the National Park, schooner sails and lots events and activities.Living in close proximity to Boston there is a ferry to Boston just two blocks away and the commuter train is a 10-15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the garage (25 minute ride to Boston).
