Wake to a sparkling sun on the water, sleep to a glittering Milky Way above!An amazing, island hideaway, my 3-room cottage is situated on a wooded 5-acre bluff overlooking Bounty Cove. Perfect for kayakers, poets, sweethearts, or friends, it features a private wraparound deck, open-plan living/dining room, and a gorgeous, new custom kitchen. The bedroom has a double bed and a wall of windows looking out to the woods and water beyond.Eco-friendly, there is a small bathroom with hot/cold sink and a brand new odorless, electric composting toilet. The hot water shower is on the deck, where only the eagles and seagulls can see you.The cabin is fully equipped with all linens, cookware and excellent spices and provisions. Dine in or on the deckside table with tin lights strung through the trees.A lovely Pottery Barn sofa can pull out to a full bed, although the cabin is best suited for 1-2 people and NOT good for young children.Islesboro island is a 20 minute boat ride by a Maine State Car Ferry that leaves from Lincolnville Beach hourly from 8-5. Tickets are roughly $30 r/t for car & driver and $12 for passenger.This is a quiet family escape and there is another house on the property that is not visible from The Rookery. Please share driveway and parking respectfully.Minimum 4 nights and maximum 7 night rental during peak season, July-September.
