Description
Visiting Cloudland Canyon State Park or Chattanooga? Want a disconnect-to-connect experience with your loved one that blends nature’s beauty with a boutique hotel’s niceness? Want to avoid old, smokey cabins full of pet hair and traditional hotels in a hard-to-relax busy city?Stay in our modern MIRROR CABIN with heated floors that BORDERS Cloudland Canyon State Park on a beautiful 7-acre wildflower meadow (blooming Spring 2024). Unplug and reconnect with yourself – and each other.Got a party of 4? Check our other listing called “Bee Balm” which is on the same property. The property: Stunning, level to rolling 6.8+/- acre homesite atop Lookout Mountain, which BORDERS CLOUDLAND CANYON STATE PARK, a 3,538-acre state park offering 64 miles of hiking trails, biking, camping–incredible natural beauty. The land has been converted into a wildflower meadow (blooming in late 2024), providing the most stunning views. Convenient to Lula Lake Land Trust, a privately protected park with unique waterfalls and trails. Less than 1 mile to amazing pizza from Lookout Mountain Pizza Company and Canyon Grill. Seven miles to McLemore Golf Club with awe-inspiring views, a world-renowned golf course, fine dining, and frequent entertainment. 6.4 miles to I-59, 15 miles to I-24, and 26 miles to Downtown Chattanooga, where you can eat at Main Street Meats and Milk & Honey. The mirror cabin: A smoke-free, pet-free MIRROR CABIN with heated floors that BORDERS Cloudland Canyon State Park. Stay in our cabin and walk into Cloudland for free with our cabin-assigned Cloudland Canyon State Park guest pass. The three-sided mirror cabin makes you feel like you’re outside while being inside. No one can see you inside the cabin during the day, and at night, we provide optional privacy curtains in case you want to have the lights on (you can see inside the cabins at night with the lights on). Imagine waking up to coffee and staring at deer in a 7-acre wildflower meadow. Or walk to your private stone patio with a hot tub, fire pit, and new gas grill. We are big coffee nerds, so the unit includes a French press, grinder, and electric tea kettle, but be sure to bring your coffee beans as the local food & beverage laws don’t allow us to provide open packages. We also have a Keurig for the “give me my coffee now” people. We have a mini fridge and a sink with dishes for eating and drinking. You are more than welcome to cook on the grill outside if you don’t want to eat out but do keep in mind that the mini fridge is all we have for food storage. You can walk the entire 6.8 acres if you’d like, and have access to your private cabin. We will be available to help throughout your entire stay through the Airbnb app.Rising Fawn, named for the child of a Cherokee chieftain, is a small unincorporated area of Dade County, located in a valley near Lookout Mountain. It’s home to Cloudland Canyon State Park, where visitors can hike down to not one but two waterfalls.Enjoy dining in a casual atmosphere while feasting on delectable chef creations at The Canyon Grill Restaurant and Lookout Mountain Pizza Company. Rising Fawn’s musical heritage is tied to such notables as The Forrester Sisters, a CMW Vocal Group of the Year, and folk musician Norman Blake, whose work is included on the “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack. You can walk into Cloudland Canyon State Park for free with our complimentary cabin-assigned Cloudland Canyon State Park guest passes. You can park on the property. There are two guest parking spaces for the cabin. We are a smoke-free and pet-free facility with no exceptions, so please do not bring a pet, and if you smoke, we may not be the best fit. Each cabin is limited to two guests, so if you want a girl’s or a couple’s trip, you are more than welcome to book our other cabin, Wild Indigo, across from Bee Balm.We can’t stress this enough: We have a strict no-pet, no-smoking, and no-vaping policy. Pets, vaping, and smoking are not allowed under any circumstances inside the unit or on the premises. If you bring a pet, smoke, or vape inside the unit or on the premises, you will forfeit any deposit and be subject to a $1,000 fine. We’d also like to ask that shoes be removed when walking inside the unit.
